Two-page overview

This two page overview of 21st century skills is available from the official Partnership for 21st Century Skills website. It includes both the rainbow graphic and an overview of the Core Subjects and 21st Century Themes, Life and Career Skills, Learning and Innovation Skills, and Information, Media, and Technology Skills. Many of the public school educators will be familiar with this framework.

The Arts Skills Map is a publication from the Partnership for 21st Century Skills. It includes specific connections to the Arts and 21st Century Skills.

NC Arts Ed & P21

This document was created by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and is aligned with the previous Standard Course of Study. Although much of the content remains relevant, the document will be updated to reflect alignment with the new NC Arts Education Essential Standards and the additional theme of “Environmental Literacy” to the P21 Framework, which occurred after the original document was created.

NC Professional Teaching Standards

These standards align closely with the North Carolina Educator Evaluation Instrument. The expectation for 21st Century Skills is embedded within both documents.
